COPYRIGHT

Hi readers,

Just been checking out my mediafire account and it would seem a TON of my stuff has been flagged as copyright some of it expected some of it surprising however the "share" function is still enabled on all those links marked so i don't know if it means i'm just being told it's copyrighted or if downloading is disabled for anyone but me? if anyone has any trouble downloading anything then it's in your interests to let me know otherwise i can't fix it.

Thanks,

Dave B.

  1. If I had to guess id say sabbath is one, like ozzy and warner brothers need the money. And black flag would be one as well, just because greg ginn seems like that much of a weiner. If your mediafire gets shut down you might try ulozto, think thats what its called anyway. Ive seen a few other blogs using it and it's always reliable. Think its russian though and anything goes with them so youd probably be safe. This is one of my favorite blogs and id hate to see another one go down because of jerkoff record execs. Keep it up man.

    1. Pretty good guess there!! and bad brains and Black flag and many more! I am aware of ulozto but i have to be honest if my mediafire account got shut down that would be the end of the blog because i have neither the time or the inclination to re-up 40GB of links so fingers crossed! see i was unemployed when i started this so now i am working there's less time for me to do the blog hence the lack of posts but i lost about 75% of the first 8 months work on this blog when 4shared pricks shut me down for copyright shit and i swore if that happened again i would be done for good as i wouldn't be able to recover everything again! anyway thanks for your comment and support hope you continue to enjoy the blog,

      Cheers,

      Dave B.

  2. I was able to download Bendal Interlude as well as Good For You, so I would assume it's still working.

    1. Hi frank, It's not all the stuff in my account just a few things but too many to make a list no one has mentioned anything but people are a bit lazy they come to the blog click the link and if it doesn't work the majority don't comment sut I can't fix it if they don't! anyway thanks for taking the time to comment,

      Cheers,

  3. Hey Dave - you should check this belated band out - they're really punked out stoner rock - like a particularly vicious early Mudhoney.

Also, do you know Angel Rot at all? Huge fan - it's Tom Five from the noise rock era of White Zombie's 90's band. Total Sabbath / Motorhead style stuff via Black Flag / Melvins brutality with hilarious lyrics and Greg Ginn influenced skronk solos. I got to know Tom and booked the band a few times back in the day - insanely good. Long gone, now.

    Anyway, you gotta hear them.

    1. Hi again MarsHottentot
Yeah i am aware of Angel Rot they were on mans ruin records? I downloaded their album once and I dunno it didn't do anything for me at the time and I had one of my occasional hard drive clearouts and i deleted it but now what you are saying makes me want to check it out again ha ha!

I will also check out tyrannosaurus very soon! Thanks for commenting i appreciate repeat comments from people as it lets me know folk are out there and coming back to the blog,

      Thanks,

      Dave B.

  4. Yeah, the Man's Ruin record sorta drags on the second half (first half is great, though) and has wimpy production (it was recorded in '93 and then sat around for years before MR released it) but, man, you've gotta hear the demos Angel Rot did in '98 - a huge turn around. Had they made an entire album (you can hear a few studio tracks on Youtube), they'd have blown up - similar to Annihilation Time / Blasting Concept, but more aggressive / less hard rock, while definitely SST damaged. I mean - really fucking good.

  6. Hey Dave. I just found your blog recently and haven't had any problems with your links. Fast and efficient. Great quality on most releases too! Keep up the good work man. I love this blog. I live about half an hour away from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and you've introduced me to awesome local bands I've never even heard of. Great stuff.

    1. Hey Sickboy well you certainly have a pretty decent scene over there so many great bands of all types from Canada and I'm glad I have helped alert you to some of the past/current bands from you're area! I only knew about the Hamilton thing because the band Haymaker went on about it so much I did some research and there you have it. Thanks for the comment.

      Cheers,

      Dave B.
